The Pine & Knotty Co. Story
Pine & Knotty came to life in 2021 when I bought a used scroll saw on marketplace and started learning. I instantly fell in love! I first started by making gifts for family and friends and quickly realized the demand for custom signs. That’s when the lightbulb went off and I decided to make this a little side business. I absolutely loved the idea of turning a raw piece of wood into something amazing!
The creativity fueled my soul and I started to get better and better. As a completely self taught artist, I pride myself in seeing where I started to where I am today! That feeling of accomplishment and “omg, I made that!” Never gets old. As my skills progressed, so did my business.
I started off making small nursery signs, wedding guestbooks and name signs and slowly built up the confidence to do bigger and better things. My first barn door was a wow moment for me. Seeing the excitement on my customers faces when they received their orders was always the best part

My passion for becoming a scroll-saw artist and starting Pine & Knotty Co. is rooted in a deep desire to build a creative life on my own terms. The 9-to-5 grind never felt like the right fit—especially when it kept me from being present for life’s most meaningful moments with my kids, like after-school adventures and school field trips. That realization was my turning point. What began as a side hustle blossomed into a full-time business fueled by creativity, purpose, and an unshakable entrepreneurial spirit.
Every piece I make is one-of-a-kind and made with intention—crafted to become a conversation-starter that my customers love to share. This sense of connection drives me to keep evolving as both an artist and a businesswoman. I started in a single-car garage using humble, secondhand tools—and I’ve proven that you don’t need a massive workshop to create beautiful, heartfelt art. My journey is self-taught, ever-growing, and full of possibility.
